This is a short sound bath built around one intention: gratitude. Ten minutes, headphones in, and a simple practice that shifts how your whole body feels. It is part of my holiday sound bath series, and it works any time of year.
What is a sound bath?
A sound bath is a meditative practice where you lie back and let crystal singing bowl frequencies wash over you. Despite the name, there is no water. You simply listen, and your mind begins to settle.
A sound bath for gratitude
Gratitude is the quality of being thankful, and it gently pulls your focus toward the good. Andrew Huberman points out that telling the story of a time you received gratitude shifts your brain more powerfully than simply listing what you are thankful for. So we do not just count blessings here. We remember a moment someone showed up for us, and we feel it.
How to use this sound bath
Find a comfortable place to lie down, lower the lights, and put your headphones in. As the bowls begin, bring to mind a story of gratitude you have received, and let that feeling move through your body, your mind, and your heart as you drift with the sound. The holidays can be joyful, and they can also feel heavy. Let this be ten minutes that belong only to you.
